Overview
Timber Maxwell are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Manager to join their team based out of the Clifton, Bristol office. This role has responsibility for the management of the credit control and cash collection team, to ensure the effective collection of sales ledger cash whilst minimising exposure to bad debts. You will report to the Financial Controller and will ensure the team meets the Group's financial objectives, in accordance with the Company's Procedures, Culture and Systems.
This position is full time, permanent (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
Detail
You will take ownership of the credit insurance policy and compliance. You will manage the credit control team to ensure:
- All new customer account limit applications are completed accurately and timely
- Increased credit limits are requested where necessary
- Limits are updated following notification from our insurer
- Credit limit housekeeping is up-to-date, and limits returned if not required
- Managing allocation of limits across debtor groups
- Overdue monies are reported to our insurer
- ‘Over limit’ reports are reviewed, and action taken where necessary
You will use the available reports to review and manage the team to ensure that cash is collected in line with payment due dates. overdue monies are promptly dealt with, either through legal action, or through liaison with senior management to facilitate resolution through negotiated commercial
Essential
- Advanced IT skills
- 3+ years in Credit Management
- Experience of managing a credit insurance policy
- Line Management experience
