Hardie® Panel Fibre Cement Cladding

The Hardie® Panel fibre cement cladding system, manufactured by James Hardie, is made up of panels that are manufactured from a mix of Portland cement, milled sand, cellulose fibres and water, making them lightweight and easy to cut to bespoke sizes. Purposefully designed for use on a range of buildings, this ventilated rainscreen cladding system is suitable for both new builds and renovation and can be fixed back to masonry walls, timber or steel frames.

The Hardie® Panel cladding range, which consists of Hardie® Panel and Hardie Architectural Panel, holds an A2 fire rating and is backed by a BBA certificate (05/4248). When installed in accordance with its BBA certificate, this product can be expected to have a service life in excess of 30 years.

Behaviour in Relation to Fire
Hardie® Panel cladding has an A2-s1-d0 classification in accordance with EN 13501-1: 2002 and therefore is not subject to any restrictions on building height or boundary proximity.

BBA
In the opinion of the BBA, this product, if installed, used and maintained in accordance with the certificate (05/4248), can satisfy or contribute to satisfying the relevant requirements of the current Building Regulations.

NHBC Standards 2021
In the opinion of the BBA, Hardie® Panel can satisfy or contribute to satisfying the relevant requirements in relation to NHBC Standards if installed, used and maintained in accordance with BBA Certificate 05/4248.

CE Marking
The BBA certificate holder has taken the responsibility of CE marking the product in accordance with harmonised European standard BS EN 12467: 2012.

Hardie® Panel
Hardie® Panel is available in a smooth texture and 6 core colours. Alongside the core colour options, Hardie® Panel is available in almost any standard RAL colour and therefore can meet a wide range of design requirements.

Hardie® Architectural Panel
This range is available in two textures, Brushed Concrete and Smooth Sand. These textured panels can then be selected in a choice of 6 standard colours, or almost any RAL colour upon request.

Hardie® Panel boards can be installed either horizontally or vertically, allowing design flexibility. The boards are 8mm or 11mm thick, 1220mm wide and 3048mm long but can be cut to specific sizes depending on various designs.

Colour matched fixings and profiles are available to neatly finish your project.

Hardie® Panel can be fixed back to masonry, timber or steel frames.

These fibre-reinforced Portland cement panels are suitable for use as exterior, non load-bearing, decorative cladding. The boards dimensions are 3048mm x 1220mm x 8mm or 3048mm x 1220mm x 11mm. The boards satisfy the requirements of Category A, Class 2 in accordance with BS EN 12467: 2012.

The boards are supplied factory primed and coated with ColourPlus™ Technology finishes. Hardie® Panel comes with a 15 year warranty which provides confidence that the panels will not warp, crack, peel or rot, offering a major advantage over alternatives such as wood cladding.
